Link building pricing with every rate published

How much does link building cost?

Link building costs $62 to $388 per guest post and $59 to $379 per niche edit with us, depending on the DR tier you choose. Every rate is public, and DR and Ahrefs traffic are guaranteed at placement.

Each price includes writing, outreach, placement and an unbranded report. There are no setup fees and no monthly minimums.

What drives link building cost?

Link building cost is driven by 5 factors: site authority, niche, content, vetting and guarantees. Prices vary across the industry because the work behind each link varies.

• Site authority and traffic: stronger sites are harder to secure and charge more to publish.
• Niche: industries such as finance and healthcare have fewer quality publishers, which raises effort per link.
• Content: a full guest article costs more to produce than a short added passage.
• Vetting: manual checks on traffic, relevance and spam take time but protect your site.
• Guarantees: replacement and refund promises carry a real cost, and providers who skip them undercut on price.

Very cheap links usually cut one of these corners. When comparing quotes, ask what is included, what is guaranteed and whether you see the live URL and metrics. Our guide on SEO pricing models covers the wider market.

How do you pay for link building: per link, package or subscription?

You pay per link for full control, by package for a managed mix, or by subscription to save 10%. These are the 3 ways to pay, and they combine freely.

1. Per link: choose tiers yourself and order exactly what you want. Best for experienced SEOs.
2. Package: link building packages from $510 bundle balanced tiers with an account manager.
3. Subscription: set a monthly spend and save 10% on every order.

Here is a worked monthly budget at list prices. Two DR 30+ guest posts ($204), two DR 30+ niche edits ($198) and one DR 40+ guest post ($184) cost $586. The subscription brings that to $527.40.

Pick tiers that close the gap to the pages ranking above you, at an amount you can sustain for 3 months or more. Our SEO budget guide walks through the numbers, and how much SEO costs puts links in context.
